Hi all

Been to see the physio. Not darkened a physio's door for about 18mths or so since I stopped going to Bath hospital. I went because I want her to look at my back, having decided not to visit an osteopath

Ever since I had Bernice I havent been able to stand for long.
2-3 mins maximum.

Then the juddering spasm pain starts and it is agony. Sometimes I lean right forward and it eases a bit and I can hear a CLUNK CLUNK and it is fine until I straighten again.

Once I sit the pain goes altogether. But I have to sit and FAST

It is not RA in the spine, had an xray of pelvis. But I do get swelling. The RA effects pretty much everywhere else all the time, it never goes away and often wakes me at night, but the back pain is non existent at night.

She has had a good look and doesnt think it is the RA per se but thinks it is to do with posture and the trauma of having bernice and lack of tummy muscles (back to back birth and then emergency section, plus all the other complications).

She thinks she can do a LOT to HELP!ThumpUp

Booked in for another longer session in a month once she has been to southampton to see my xrays and mri. I did explain they were "ok" and she asked how they were taken. She realised immediately that they were taken with me lying down, now load bearing would have been a different matter entirely.

Good eh? I was very impressed!

This sounds really positive, our Jenni!

Sometimes, incorrect posture can cause a whole heap of problems and hopefully, this lady can sort some of them out for you. She sounds as if she really knows her stuff.

I hope the physio can give you some relief, Jenni. I'm starting my acupuncture soon, with the rheumy physio.
